Babymoon!

We were blessed with the incredible opportunity to get away for our 3rd Anniversary in which we entitled "Babymoon". It was our last vacation with just the two of us.

Here are some pictures of that delightful time together!

This is where I found my hubby the first morning we were there--I love His passion for the Word.

First walk out on the beach. Some think we're crazy for going to the beach in December--us--it was so quiet and peaceful--it was perfect!

December 15th-Our 3rd Anniversary Dinner. Some may call me a seafood snob as I only eat seafood on the coast and not at chain restaurants....and this place was amazing!

Second walk on the beach, this time no shoes (and well no makeup)!

Third and final walk on the beach--Robert wasn't feeling well, so Jesus and I went for a walk on the beach to watch the sunset together (and take lots of pictures):

It was a beautiful few days together and we're so grateful for the blessing of being able to get away. I could not think of a better way to spend our last vacation together as a family of two!

Recap, a sale and a giveaway :)

Our visit home was so good. We haven't had a real visit since June--so we took full advantage of it...Here's just a few pics to recap it.

Saturday before the girls went shopping, we unfortunately had to drop my daddy off at the airport. I was sad to see him go, but grateful we at least had Thanksgiving day together.

Once the girls portion of Saturday was complete, hubs met up with us and this is where you could find us:

Then it was back to the Hill to visit with a dear friend of mine Emily. I miss her bunches, miss bringing kids into her shop, miss hanging out at the HOB. It was good to sit still and chat with her for a while. Thank you Emily for the coffee and the visit!

Time was spent in front of the fire. LOVE a wood burning fire (the one thing I don't like about our home--and the stairs, but that's for a later post). Maddie LOVES the fire--and she loves her new, new bed (the first new bed wasn't working out, but this one seems to be perfect--thanks MeMa and PaPa!) Pj's, hot cocoa, fire in the fireplace and watching the UGA game on my dad's big screen, made for a great restful evening....even if there was a time there at the end of the game my blood pressure went up a little bit.

Breakfast was spent with my dear friend Heidi. Breakfast that went into the lunch hour. Love her!

Then hubs and I were off to do what we've been longing to do---take our pup pup to one of our favorite places on this earth...downtown Savannah. She did so good and fun was had by all!

And um, yes...I had to visit here. We took advantage of the outside seating with the pup!

One last visit was with my Heather and the rest of the Walker Family. River is getting so grown up! Love this family and love sharing life with them!

Now it's onto Monday....which is CYBER MONDAY!

Birthday Highlights

Almost a month later I thought I'd share some birthday highlight photos!

As birthdays go in this family--they are a month long. Robert was excited to see November 1st!

As mentioned earlier, my birthday month started with a date with the hubs at Dave Ramsey Live.

Up next was continuing the tradition of going to the Apple Festival in Elijay. The day was perfect as it started with hubby making breakfast and bringing it to me in bed!

Then it was heading north to Elijay

We then went over to the downtown area of Elijay...found the perfect little bbq spot with a table on the front porch and we had a music festival across the street to watch while dining.

The day was a perfect day of quality time together!!

The actual day of my 31st was great! It started with a present and card waiting on me for breakfast from our lovely Katie. Then it was off to the office where an American Express gift card from Cory was waiting on my desk for me...then it was off to lunch with Robert and Cory to my favorite--Shoguns! Somehow I did not get a picture of this--so sad!

Then it was home to a party box that was waiting on me....

I had been explaining to Robert that growing up Mom always had a theme for our birthdays each year and when we woke up and walked through the streamers that decorated our bedroom door---and made it to the kitchen---it was always decorated in whatever theme mom had chosen for that year (and it usually lined lined up with what was going on in our lives).

And wouldn't you know it--my box had a theme and everything matched!

It had everything you needed to decorate as if I was back in mom and dad's house and the kitchen was decorated.

The box was filled with take out boxes that matched the theme and they were filled with lots and lots and lots of gift cards!!!

It took so long to unwrap all the goodies...Maddie decided to take a nap....

Then came presents from the hubs---Charming Charlie's gift card, necklace, earrings, a hat and a new Bible with my new (yes, it's been three years--but this is the first thing I've gotten with my "new" name on it)! He's too good to me!

Then it was on to dinner just the two of us....to P.F. Changs! Yum-O! We had lots of discussions that had things in them like "this time next year" and "highchair."
