Sometimes you just need...

A siesta...
And even if that means a siesta away from the ole blog.

Sorry folks!

Hope to be in full blogging mode again soon.

For now,  just wanted you to know we're alive.  We're out here....doing well....
In the past few weeks, we've (most of these are an I-meaning Kristin, but we'll leave it with "we've" and let you use your imagination)...
watched our youth get married,
had little Aniston come stay with us for a few days
(with her mema and mom of course!)
we've officially kicked off Summer Camp 2010
we've seen Beth Moore in person for the first time
we've been getting really crafty with trying to teach ourselves how to sew on the sewing machine
we've been doing all kinds of fabulous things to raise money for Scotland...
(did you know I was going to Scotland? More on that soon, I promise)
took a shovel to our front yard
daydreaming of what could happen to our backyard if we had a lot of money
Finished two books and have started two more
(make that three-Robert finished a book too!)
Had our 2nd Senior Banquet at the Stone--have we really already been here almost 2 years?
Coming to a realization that my first class of 6th graders are graduating high school-I've been in denial since the Fall

I'm sure I'll come up with plenty more once I hit publish, but that's all I've got for now!
Have a good night my friends!

Aniston's 3 months old!

Can you believe it?  My mom is becoming quite the professional photographer and she made a smilebox for all of us to see.  It's too good to keep it to myself!  Enjoy! :)

Consider it a gift...

Were the words of my Senior Pastor last week when he told us that at RiverStone we believe in family, therefore he was giving us all the week off to be with our families during Spring Break.  My immediate family still had work and school (hence why we took the week off of his Spring Break a few weeks ago), so he strongly encouraged me to head south to spend some good quality time with my family.  I have such an incredible husband don't I?

So, I've been doing things that are good for my heart this week.  I've been taking pictures, but I left my card reader in the ATL--oops, so I have a few pics I've taken with my phone (therefore not the best quality) that I can share with you now.

First on the agenda was a D.A.W.G. Day.  These were key for me when I was in ministry in Richmond Hill.  D.A.W.G. stands for Day Alone With God.  It's a day to just get away.  Step away from the office, the computer, the cell phone (yes, even the cell phone--although I did use it to take this picture!) and get away where no one can find you.  So, where did I go?  St. Simons Island.  This is where Jesus and I use to hang out---a lot.  I felt like I was going back, just Him and I for old times sake.  It was sooo good.  Weather was beautiful.  The beach was a little too crowded for my liking....Jesus and I use to go together on Fridays when the rest of the world was still at work, but this week I had Spring Break along with the rest of the world.  But it was still the beach...still the sand...still with my Bridegroom Jesus.  We took a walk together on the pier and then shared a really late lunch together.

I've had lots of good quality girl time.  You'll have to wait for those pictures...

I've had lots of sugar from this beautiful bundle of joy....

I was surprised by mom with an appointment to see one of my favorite people--Teresea--the lady who works wonders on my hair! :)

And I'm currently in this spot...
Yes, in one of my favorite coffee shops that has a view of Savannah in the springtime.  Doesn't get much better than this.  Hubby is officially on his way here now...sitting in 5:00 Atlanta traffic, in the rain...but he loves me that much, he's on his way now.  Dad flies in at 8pm.  The fam is gathering tomorrow.  Then on Saturday I get to watch a grown up youth of mine become a wife...it doesn't get much better than that!  Then it's back to the ATL we will go.  Life is good.  And what a beautiful gift I have been given this week to be with my family and to let Jesus minister to my heart.  Words aren't big enough to say THANK YOU!

Love Came Down

I've been meaning to share this song with all of you for some weeks now. The week before Robert and I went on vacation, we worshipped to this song at Staff Prayer. Then that Wednesday night at Youth we had a group from Bethel-Atlanta come and they led us in worship to this song...and I was overwhelmed two days in a row. So...if you know anything about me...when God uses a song to minister to my heart...I listen to it on repeat....for a really long time. Thankfully the Lord gave me a husband who is okay with this. We listened to this song pretty much our entire vacation. And today--the day between Good Friday and Easter seems like the appropriate day to share it.

He is so good. Take a moment today, be still, hit play on this video (for those that receive this in a email or feed, there's a video here...you don't want to miss it).

Fall head over heels, madly in love with your Bridegroom today. Jesus, I am forever Yours.

Spring Has Finally Sprung!

It is finally warm here!!!! And take a look at two of my favorite people who are just cute as a button. I had to steal these pictures from their parents since I haven't been home in over two months...but it's coming and I absolutely can not wait to spend time with these two...and their parents! :)

It's going to be gorgeous here this weekend and we are so excited about it! We are looking forward to worshiping with our RiverStone Family on this beautiful Easter weekend. And on top of that, we are very excited about getting to see the McLendon side of the family on Sunday afternoon. A visit that is long overdue. What are your plans for this beautiful weekend?
