34 weeks...

According to Baby Center:

Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like youraverage cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers – which she'll need to regulate her body temperature once she's born – are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to matureas well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

**Although this is good to know---we are praying for a baby that goes full term.  Please join us in praying for this!**

34 week highlights:
  • Cravings:  Still nothing specific.  Thinking it might stay this way till the end.  Who said pregnant women eat pickles and icecream?
  • Belly Button:  Same ole, same ole
  • Sleep:  Nothing new to report here either--starting to see a trend in answering these questions...
  • Symptoms:  Hubs brought me home some Maalox this week to replace my middle of the night tums (all per the suggestion of our doctor).  This has worked wonders.  I take it before I go to bed when I feel the onset of heartburn and ever since we switched I haven't woken up during the night from the heartburn.  Now....if I could not wake up because I have to go to the bathroom....
  • Movement:  Trying to soak up what's left of this special time together!
  • Other 34 week highlights:
    • Had my last weekend of traveling per the advice of our doctor.  It feels weird to know I can't travel anymore--but good too.  Somethings gotta make us stay put and get ready for Little Hoot!
    • On that same note--we went to Richmond Hill/Savannah for our last weekend away--it was weird to think the next time I'm in my parents home I'LL BE A PARENT!!!
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Two very gracious friends of mine gave Little Hoot and I our first shower while we were in Savannah over the weekend.  It was so good to see so many people that I love and care about and have them celebrate with us in this special time in our lives.  I'm grateful for the friends and family that the Lord has given me.  (Pictures of the shower are coming this week--promise, I've even already uploaded them, which is the part that usually prevents me from getting pictures up----and I took pictures of the nursery---so stay tuned!)
