Six Week Check In

One thing I was most upset about when the Lord told us we were moving from Richmond Hill is that my best friend Heather had just found out she was pregnant. It hurt my heart to know that I wasn't going to be there for the final stages of her pregnancy and I wasn't going to be there for little River as much as I would like to be once he entered into this world.

Jesus has been so good to me and knew the desires of my heart (of course He did--His Word says He does!) I have been able to see River more than I could ever imagine--of course it's not the same as being in the same town and being able to run over at 2am to give Heather and Jason some sleep, but I am very grateful.

For some reason I have been a bad God mommy and not posted pictures each time I've seen him--so here it is--today River is 6 weeks old--so this is his 6 week check in here on our blog. I promise to post pictures in the future as they happen!

River.....Robert and I love you dearly. Thank you for letting us be apart of your life!

For my birthday I got to spend about 5 hours in Richmond Hill (I'm realizing I need to post pictures from my bday--man this 30 days of posting still doesn't get me caught up!) During my 5 hours I got to stop in at RHUMC and see the people I love, I got to have a marvelous breakfast with mom, Heather, Jason and River, I got to peek in to see a favorite friend at the Cadre Shop and have lunch at one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in the hill with my mom and munchkin (my sister). Then after lunch I got to go to Heather and Jasons and spend a few hours holding River--it was a perfect day! Here are River's pictures from that day: River was 2 weeks old.

The weekend of November 8th we headed to the coast to celebrate two of our wonderful friends getting married! We got into town early enough on Friday for Robert to meet his God son for the first time! River was almost 5 weeks old:

The next day we traveled to St. Simons Island for the wedding--which was River's first! Isn't he precious!

Beautiful mom with her beautiful son:

River and the girls:

Let's not start any rumors with this picture!

This week at almost 6 weeks old River made his first debut at Jason's parents house near Atlanta--so we made the trip over!

Obviously this one isn't of River--but it was Jason's bday party and I just had to share a picture of the boys putting together Star Wars legos...

River in his swing--a) do you know how hard it is to take a picture of a swinging baby--this was one of three--I think this one turned out the best. b) River in the swing didn't last long--this little one has to be held! :)

Happy 6 weeks old today birthday River! We love you!

Love your blog! I am a friend of Heather and Jason's and I met you at their baby shower.

Sorry to hear about the tragedy in your church. I will be praying for you guys.

I also love it that you are so involved with the youth. Is that your full time posistion or just something you guys volunteer to do?
The youth counselors when I was growing up are still some of my closest friends.
